"SOLLEVATO" WHO SAID THE HOLY SEE COULD NOT LEARN !

WE THANK GOD FOR POPE BENEDICT XVI - MORE STRENGTH TO HIS ARM!
There are those prejudiced souls who will tell you that nothing new ever happens in the Holy See - it is all hide bound, dead hand bureaucracy.

Well, some rogue Bishops are finding that their antics , their outrageous infidelities have struck a new dead -end. It is crystallized in the Italian word "Sollevato" "Lifted up"or as we would say in English " Relieved "in the sense that "The Holy Father has relieved Bishop........... of the Pastoral Governance of the Diocese of......."

So, a scandal ridden Diocesan Bishop in the Congo is gone and within weeks the appalling Bishop Morris of Toowoomba is gone after thumbing his nose at the teachings of the Catholic Church and at the Holy see for 5 years. No wonder the ""I do it my way "Bishop "Call me Brian "Heenan, is getting twitchy, but his best protection from the new broom is the fact that he must retire at 75 yrs on 4th August, 2012 only 15 months away.

"Sollevato" - what a wonderful word!. I think at least one other Queensland Bishop may be regretting committing his unorthodox views on the Eucharist to print in a Pastoral Letter , whilst yet another Queensland Bishop's similarly unorthodox ideas about Christ expressed in a Pastoral Letter, will be safe only because he is about to retire in less than three months.

The new spirit of activity in discipline may be attributable to the arrival on the scene as Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops of Cardinal Marc Oullet, the Canadian Prelate. At last Pope Benedict seems to have found the right man for that position. Outrageous Bishops around the world shoul take very great care and carefully note that the jig is up!
