Like  several other churches of Broken Bay Diocese in Sydney, Sacred Heart Church Pymble is modern, fan-shaped and invisible from the adjoining busy roadway, even despite its high tower.

this morning, the principal Mass at 9.30 am was immensely crowded as parishioners of all ages - but very many young ones - gathered not only for Sunday <ass, but at this Mass because it was the farewell to our much-loved Curate Father Roman Wroblewski S.D.S.

Fater Roman  is an accomplished Scripture scholar as his preaching attests, he is a very devout Celebrant of the Sacred Liturgy, and a hugely effective Chaplain to Youth including  part-time involvement in Australian Catholic University in North Sydney.

It was in every way, a fitting farewell to a dearly loved Priest, whom many will hope to continue to see from time to time as he is only an hour or so "up the line" at his new appointment as Curate at East Gosford.

Farewell Father, until we meet again. God Bless you. We thank you for so many things , but most especially for your devout celebration of the Sacred Liturgy, your scholarly and moving Homilies, and your great kindness and generosity.
Not all eyes were on Father Roman when it came time to cut the Farewell  Cake!
